In some parts of the country, it is. (especially if you went to Eton!!)

and, if those people agree with you, why do they say Ears?   As in "Ears, absolutely agree old chap"

Probably because they're Old Etonians. If they'd have gone to Roedean it would probably be "OK Yar. One does like to have a nice hice".

Why do pensioners block aisles and dawdle around supermarkets on the weekend when they’ve had all bloody week to go there?

Mike

I've noticed this about my elderly relatives. All in their 80s, retired for decades, yet all still stick to the weekend rules. Why?

Why do non-pensioners go out as a whole, umbilically-attached, family group; walking five across along the pavements; blocking aisles and dawdle around supermarkets and shopping malls on the weekend?

Why do women shoppers stop just outside the shop exit door for a chat and block said doorway?

Why do women shoppers suddenly realise they have to pay for their goods after its all been put through the checkout till and they spend ages questioning the bill, and looking for their money?

Why can't they be like men shoppers, get goods and have money, usually correct amount or nearly so, ready to hand over?

Well, this pensioner takes 'er indoors to the supermarket on a Thursday. She wouldn't go on a Saturday because she reckons that it's full of "young" people, moaning about pensioners!!

Why not to the caff on the A26?

But Fred. That's an autoroute which goes from Calais to Troyes. There are no cafes on it!!

Why do people walk out of a shop door and then stop in the way? Also, why do some people get to the top of an escalator, step off and then stop and gawp about the place? 🤬

Regards,

Steve
