Zigomar
Continuing my German Nightfighter exploration, here is another one from the past, built nearly OTB, only after market used being the great Master antennas. This model was built on commission and it was my first attempt at the reverse mottling scheme used on the German night figthers. Montex masks were used for the insignas. Despite some mistakes the Tamiya's "Uhu"is still a great kit to do and with the help of the Valiant book you can bring the details to another level. Plane is from the 3/NJG 1 based at Grave in 45. Cheers. Natter
One glaring mistake - there's no way the real canopies could have been as beautifully clear as yours! The Valiant book may help as you say, but it's your skills that have taken that model to such a superb standard. I'll am sure the commission recipient will be very pleased. Spitfire31
A superb 'instrument of darkness'. The reverse mottling looks just spot on, too! @Natter: even on a decidedly scruffy airplane, the canopies are cleaned and polished – the life of the crew depends on it… 😉 Kind regards, Joachim
