redcap
Romeo Models 75mm French Grenadier Egypt Campaign. A lovely 'character' figure and a refreshing change from the usual Hussars, Dragoons, Cuirassiers etc. Painted in oils. Sorry about the blue-tack on the base (now gone) as the pics were taken after coming back from a club meet where it had been transported in a box. Bertie McBoatface
He's gorgeous. I love the sunshade. Nice blending/shading. I really appreciate the work you had to do on the leopard skin. Excellent figure, well done.
Terry1954
Thats a fantastic result. As you say a refreshing change from the more popular charactures of that era. I really like it. What brand of oils did you use? Terry

Terry For the main work Windsor & Newton but for the French Blue, I used "Abteilung" oils (Prussian Blue) which dries (much) more matt than the Windsor & Newton or other leading brands of oils do as blue is notoriously difficult to avoid a 'sheen' effect. Thanks for the Q and the kind feedback. Gary
