Josep
Hello fellows, Here my P47-D Thunderbolt, "2 big and Too Heavy", finished. A wonderful kit from Trumpeter; the only drawaback was that the engine was impossible to fit in the cowling, as I explained in the WIP thread. I hope you like the fotos, as much I enjoyed building and painting this wonderful "jug". Your comments will be welcome... And here, the link to my WIP: Thanks for looking! 31

Bertie McBoatface
That's very good. I bet that takes a lot of shelf space!

SAT69
Thunderbolt experts, please enlighten me. The non-rounded wing tips leave me to believe this is a P-47N. Am I in error?

I thought those markings were on an N too (at least they were on the 48th one I built years ago) Whatever, that is a beautifully built and finished model Josep, top work! Am I in error? That would be correct sir. A wet wing with improved roll as well. Almost as fast as the P-47M - and with LOADS of cool subjects, including this one.. Well done, great job Josep! 1
kapam
Very nice P-47! Love the name "2 Big & Too Heavy". Almost sounds appropriate for a P-47. 👍👍 1

MRMRL
That's a beauty, weirdly I've just finished the same kit, but not to the same standard, great work
Col Walter E Kurtz
Hola Josep! I was looking forward to you finishing this one when you mentioned you were doing the same kit as me. Great job on the NMF weathering. I thought in it is an N model too with the extended tail fin fillet? It looks superb in any case. Bravo Sir! The engine is a pain to fit in the cowling I'll agree. It certainly felt droopy and fragile without the cowling in place on mine.i elected to glue the whole thing together eventually which seems to have worked ok for me. Nice that you elected to display the engine-supercharger details and the open guns service ports as well. Kind Regards Andy
