1/32 Roden Fokker DR1

Dear all -

 

Presenting my Roden DR1 finished in the markings of Joseph Jacobs, summer 1918.

 

Model enhanced using Eduard's PE detail set and including corrections/additions of my own.   My thanks to John ('Viking') for both the inspiration and ideas on how to detail up following on from his recent build of this particular kit.

There are a few niggles here and there, the worse one being one the mid starboard wing which has a slight amount of dihedral.  This was as result of me not seating the interplane strut deep enough within it.  Sadly, I only discovered this once I had installed it so will have to live with it!

 

As always, model entirely brush painted.

That's come out really well Dave, yet again I am astounded at your ability to get such a good finish with a brush! I've been very tempted to do that Jacobs scheme myself, so it is nice to see it done here. 

Proof again that these Roden kits are still worth building!
