Graham Boak Posted July 10 Posted July 10 No prizes will be awarded for more fatuous comments made earlier or later. There's something about politics that inspires such things from even such a (normally) level-headed audience. I suppose I shouldn't speak for the owners of the site, who perhaps may be organising just such a competition. However I can say that I will not be awarding any prize to anyone quoting any of my postings in this contest! 1

I checked my pictures from back then when it was possible to take photos with flash there - on my last visit I got a stern talking to for taking pictures with flash in the courtyard to lighten the shadows on a tank partially in the sun. The Brussels Battle photos I found on my harddrive can be downloaded: https://we.tl/t-u8fVxNs0at Hello, I'm new here and so I missed the link of the pictures from the Brussels Battle. Can anybody repost them in a new wetransfer link please ? Looking for references to build my Belgian Battle. Thx

Specification P.27/32 was issued April 1933, first flight March 1936. This thread began in November 2021, so it’s a dead heat! Edit: I hadn’t read the last few pages, but facetiousness aside I’m firmly in the ‘I’ll be lining up to show support whenever this is released’ camp. Edited September 29 by Karearea 1 4
Mr T Posted September 29 Posted September 29 And Fairey didn't have to deal with air raids and power cuts and possibly staff being drafted. 3 1 4

PatG Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I have the Belgian boxing on back-order since 2022 so hope this also includes parts to build the British version too as the decal sheet, last time I looked, included an example from the AASF in May/June 1940. That said will they be releasing all three boxings at the same time I wonder or just one of them initially perhaps? In which case I probably need to get the other two on back-order just in case. Given all the sprue shots now released you'd think the release will be soon although 'soon' is open to pretty wide interpretation in this case, and just hope SH release a canopy mask for it to coincide as well as don't fancy trying to paint free hand! Pat. Ps. I very much suspect the kit will sell out immediately and be almost as hard to get hold of as Oasis tickets so hope Hannants get a good initial supply 1
Dennis_C Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I think we will see kits of RAF Battles later under Special Hobby own brand. That is not the first time they start with French/Belgian/other markings produced for FRROM and then issue the same kit under SH logo with other markings. Main concern is how much time it takes to produce another batch of sprues for SH own kits? 1
PatG Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Would make more sense given everything for the molds to be located at SH and then produced in appropriate boxings/brand names perhaps? Pat.

In TELFORD, you should be able to see a box of each Battle at Special Hobby (and/or at Hannant), they should take the plane with the Special Hobby team!" source: frrom.com 2 4 1
