1/32 Pfalz DVIII announced for 2022!

I am delighted to announce - after a five year gestation period - Aviattic's next kit!
The aggressive but sleek-looking Pfalz DVIII was, like the Siemens Schuckert DIII, designed as an "interceptor" - a concept repeated in the defence of the Fatherland in WW2. The huge Siemens Halske SHIII engine and massive four-bladed propeller intended to gain height quickly to wreak havoc on the swarms of allied bombers attacking targets in Germany through the Summer and Autumn of 1918.
Like the SSW DIII it suffered engine problems caused by the inferior quality of lubricating oils but was in service with many different Jasta's and championed by ace Paul Baumer.
A multi-media kit in the same vein as our highly regarded Ansaldo Balilla, to include resin, 3d printed and p/e parts - each chosen to best represent each element. Aviattic tailored "lozenge" decals along with several screen-printed markings options, rolled poster with box art by Jerry Boucher and colour profiles by Aviattic artist Juanita Franzi.
Records and photographs, shared by Swedish WW1 aircraft builder, Mikael Carlson and the Berlin Technical Museum have helped inform this kit's design.
Everything you need in the box - bar your choice of rigging!

I am delighted to announce - after a six year gestation period - Aviattic's next multi-media aircraft kit!
Like the SSW DIII it's performance was plagued by the inferior quality of engine lubricating oils but was in service in the Summer and Autumn of 1918 with many different Jasta's and championed by ace Paul Baumer.
A multi-media kit in the same vein as our highly regarded Ansaldo Balilla, to include resin, 3d printed and p/e parts - each chosen to best represent each element. Injection moulding is being explored for the first time for the flying surfaces...stay tuned!
Aviattic tailored "lozenge" decals along with several screen-printed markings options for the first production run, rolled poster with box art by Jerry Boucher and colour profiles by Aviattic artist Juanita Franzi.

Price is not decided at the moment. Since the £160 Balilla there have been considerable increases in costs - I am doing my best to negate these and give the best value for money possible.
Price is approximated at between £175 and £200 plus shipping.

How do these folks do it? Yet another lesser manufacturer making the 'mainsteam' stuff look clunky and mediocre.

And another subject I wouldn't necessarily have looked at but now will :)

So. DH.6 next then? Or Vickers Bullet in 1/24. Ta.
