Meng Merkava 3D 1/35

Recommended Posts

Built four years ago and sat on the shelf of doom after messing up a wash over the enamel paint, didn't seal it too well so it ended up I couldn't clean the excess off.

Thought lets have another go, respray over the worst areas, not one for splattering muck over everything as it's not going onto a diorama base.

First tank built and enjoyed the challenge, makes a change from shiny stuff

Thanks for looking

Hi Colin,

It is a nice rescue, from what you say, it sure was very damaged, although its appearance is now very good.
I think I have this kit in the stash, waiting for the "mojo" ... lol
I myself did something similar with the Tamiya MkI (in the forum, although this was from my first time as a modeler, and when I resumed the hobby, I wanted to try the new techniques, with an acceptable result.
Cheers and TC
Francis.👍

For a first time - that's fantastic !

Do you mind me asking what base colour you used?

I think the weathering is spot on

Rob

It was an old tin of White Ensign Models enamel  WEMCC-AR01 Israeli Sand Grey
