1/72 Vacform VC10 Mostly there, Found in my loft

Trying to decide if I should try to make this, or not. Not all there, but enough.

What's missing ? The under fuselage AAR housing, and one half of an engine attaching winglet.

I may have been given this one with the original I bought and made as a K2 back somewhere in the early 1990's.

So if made as a C1 all I need to do is make a matching engine mount. Not that the kit parts were anywhere near accurate.

For my original I'd managed to get a set of injection moulded wheels - very much the last scratchings from John Adams.

I have metal gear to replace the little plastic props that came with the kit, but the vacform wheels are excessively simple,

but as they're well hidden underneath a big aircraft perhaps they'd do.

My K2 could do with a clean and the AAR probe attaching back, otherwise I think it's still O.K. Been in the loft here for 8 years !!

Such an elegant aircraft, but can I face even trying to make another.

First to wallinoz,

Yes it is the AVF kit, this is a military K2 I made over 20 years ago.

Going to Kev's link now - thanks for that.

Well kev67,

I've had a good look through both your WIP & Ready for Inspection.

Inspirational work, so much more detailed and accurate than mine.

It is a beautiful aircraft and it's tempting to use this second kit, but there's no way I could

get anywhere near your results. I'm still grounded in the 1990's modelling skills & technology,

perhaps even earlier.
