Airfix Short Sunderland 1/72 new boxing but moulding from 1959 (I think)

 

Added to the kit was :

All 3 of the White Ensign photo etch kits, (flight deck, bomb bay and exterior details)

Brass gun barrels for the turrets

Photo etch bracing wires for the wing floats.

Prop Blur brass propeller blades

 

Painted with Vallejo Model air and finished with some Vallejo washes and random oil paints.

 

Finally got this one finished, its been on my bench judging me since August!

This is by far the biggest and most complex kit I've built since I got back into it last year, Ive leanred a lot, and made a few mistakes along the way but overall I'm really happy with her, dispite the flaws. I'm planning on hanging her from the ceiling so havent included the landing gear from the kit.

Two 1/144 Phantoms leftover from the 2021 Phantom GB

Airfix HP O/400 owned by Sir Aghi Ravagi the Thakur Sehab of Morvi an Indian Gentleman who used it to transport his harem apparently.

 Deliberately a little bit scruffy as I didn't want it to look like Barbies heavy bomber playset (tm)
