Here's my first KUTA, Hasegawa's Egg-plane F-14. Short build thread is here

Built OOB except for two 1/48 crew for the 'Fry way to the Danger Zone' tribute.

My Blitzenbuild missed the deadline by just this much... I basically went to bed at midnight on the 28th with everything done but a final clear to seal in the decals and removing the canopy masking.

In any case, here is my Luftwaffe F-104G built from the Italeri kit in just a little over 25 hours:

Academy 1:300 XB-70 Valkyrie.

One of the few Valkyrie kits that will fit on a shelf !

Picture posted purely as evidence that I actually finished a kit in 2022 :)

This is Fujimi 1/72 F-14A finished in the markings of VF-84 Jolly Rogers as seen in the film "The Final Countdown".

DSC05927-crop DSC05929-crop DSC05931-crop

Don't know if it is the light or my camera but the first shot is a bit odd colour wise. The kit was hard work in places due to some strange "engineering". I did not use the etch for inside an open canopy or the seperate "rubber" tyre option.

And this is my elderly Hasegawa 1/72 kit of a F-8E Crusader in the markings of VF-162.

An old kit and maybe not the most accurate but it goes together well.

Gidday All, after about 3 1/2 years I've finally finished my second attempt of a build of the flotilla leader HMS Hardy of 1940. This ship won undying fame and destruction, and her captain Capt (D) Warburton-Lee a posthumous VC, in the First Battle of Narvik on 10th April 1940.

HMS Victory

(Originally started for Less than a Tenner GB)

Airfix Starter Set

This was one of the models that I started this year for a group build but failed to complete in time. I wasn't happy with the way that the sails turned out so left it alone for a while, and basically, apart from a couple of scratch parts, that is all that I had to do over the course of this week to finally complete it.

Cessna 172 taildragger 5H-MRX, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Tanzania  1995

Finally started in the High Wings GB, but problems with the home-printed decals led to it arriving in the land of the KUTA. Purists should stop now- it's more impression than hyper-realist!

build thread here

Thanks to @CliffB for hosting the original GB, @Enzo Matrix for always setting up the enjoyable KUTA playpen and everyone who's offered support along the way, now the pictures...

Italeri 1/24 Land Rover, the fire truck version, but without the fire stuff. I just wanted to do a quick build in a nice colour. It turned out a little less quick than anticipated which is the reason it ended up in KUTA. There are fit issues, especially regarding the upper body part which is quite visible at the rear. But, that said, I do like the colour and it definitely looks very much like a Land Rover.
