Cheshiretaurus
Airfix DH Mosquito B.XVI Almost OOB but with corrections as the kit was modelled on Cosford's TT35 Bomb bay rear fairing corrected with Milliput and doors smoothed out to remove the detail that shouldn't be there Position lights from drilled holes, foil, clear colours and UV glue Tail wheel modified with strips of plasticard to represent an anti-shimmy tyre Carburettor Ice guards from a 3D printed frame and fine wire mesh. Painted with MRP paints with an Ebay after market mask set. Humbrol matt cote to finish. WIP thread is here And now on to the pictures And as a special tribute to the Airfix research team who couldn't tell where the undercarriage leg ends and where the axle stand it sits on at Cosford begins I've added the missing axle stands😆 See WIP thread for details. Thanks for looking Mark 63

Bertie McBoatface
Haha. I like the axle stands. It saves having to file flats on the tyres.

stevehnz
That is a beauty Mark, for all the identified faults, it has come up really well & at not too big a cost in frustration by the sound of it. I can surely see a couple or so of these coming my way. Steve.

ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday Mark, I'm not greatly into flying thingies but I have a penchant for some of the twin-engined aircraft of WW2, the Beaufighter and Mozzie being my British favorites. Well done with this. Regards, Jeff

Vulcanicity
Nice one, certainly looks the part. The axle stands are great, I hadn't heard this particular gripe with the kit...
