1/72 Mosquito B.XVI from the new tool Airfix TT35 er I mean B.XVI kit

Recommended Posts

Airfix DH Mosquito B.XVI

Almost OOB but with corrections as the kit was modelled on Cosford's TT35

Bomb bay rear fairing corrected with Milliput and doors smoothed out to remove the detail that shouldn't be there

Position lights from drilled holes, foil, clear colours and UV glue

Tail wheel modified with strips of plasticard to represent an anti-shimmy tyre

Carburettor Ice guards from a 3D printed frame and fine wire mesh.

Painted with MRP paints with an Ebay after market mask set.

Humbrol matt cote to finish.

WIP thread is here

And as a special tribute to the Airfix research team who couldn't tell where the undercarriage leg ends and where the axle stand it sits on at Cosford begins I've added the missing axle stands😆

See WIP thread for details.
