A glimpse into the Trumpeter catalogue 2022-2023.

For the aircraft programme, nothing really new compared to the previous edition - 2020-2021 (link) - except the future 1/48th Harbin Z-19 helicopter kit. A dedicated thread here: link

Could this be the year that the A-6, Devastator, MiG 19 kits get released?

Sure they've been in the catalogue for a good 15 years!!!

A-6 Intruder since December 2014: link

Devastator since December 2015: link

MiG-19 "Farmer" since 20xx ?

The 1/24 P-51B and Fw 190 must have been in the catalogue for almost as long. Funny how Trumpeter have been trumpeting those two for years, yet managed to sneak out a whole range of Ju-87s with barely any pre-release publicity.

Maybe they have forgotten that they haven't released them .....:p

Y'know, that's a distinct possibility. Maybe someone should tell them? 😁

Nice to see they will scale down the Angled Deck Essex CVS-12 to 1/700, although its noticeable that the aircraft for this carrier  (Crusader, Skyhawk, Tracker/Tracer) are not listed in the 700 aircraft as dedicated sets  !.

Sadly the 700 Belfast's appear to be no further along than the 72ns Mig-19

2 x 1/72 icebreakers. That's going to be a big model.

Just looked the Xuelong icebreaker on wiki which says 74ft beam and 548ft long — jeepers, in 1/72nd scale that's a barmy foot wide and 7½ft long!

Really!? It'll break the ice in more than one way. Obviously aimed at rich Chinese kids who can play with it in the indoor family swimming pool!

Hysterical to see the Devastator yet again, but sad to see it's the only alleged 1/32nd scale offering. Looks like Revell will get my money next year, with its 1/32nd scale Bf 109 G-2/4 (a new variant derivative of the G-6 kit) and all-new Hawker Hurricane II (which is rumoured to have been designed by one of the best designers out there, à la Mustang).

Happy bunny overall,

So, if there are no other 1/72 items, maybe they put all energy in these after this quite year.

Still waiting for that MiG-19PM. :)

well the delelopment of the J-6 took an aweful long time in the PRC, and the never really got the radar ones down pat.....so art imitates life? or maybe its just cursed!  😅

The 1/200 scale Belfast 1942 looks 'interesting'

Noting that there are several modern PRC warships also in the same group and the picture looks to be more like a modern frigate/destroyer I am wondering if they actually mean the Type 26 frigate that is still building rather than the 1940s cruiser.

I doubt it, I think they've put the wrong picture in catalogue. The image is definitely not a Type 26 and as the latest Belfast hasn't been launched yet I can't see them tooling for it yet. I think they'll just enlarge their 1/350. I'd missed this one in catalogue and am looking forward to it.
