Su-11 Fishpot cockpit photo's?

I'm building Trumpeter's 1/48 Fishpot Su11 but I can't find any good photo's of the real cockpit.... only simulations.  I've read the Trumpy kit isn't totally accurate but was wondering if anyone can post some good colour pics of the cockpit.

Hi @SeaVenom,

apparently photos of the Su-11 cockpit are as rare as hens teeth. The only thing I found some time ago was a drawing from a manual which shall show the layout of a Su-11 cockpit (see second-last post): http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17734&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=260

Cheers

The Eduard set seems to match the Su-11 cockpit fig quite well (well good enough for me in 1/48 scale). I'm assuming they did some proper research, with the exception of that complicated gunsight hanging down from the canopy bow. Can't recall if it's in the kit. Must check.

Some colour clues can be found looking at the not entirely dissimilar Su-15 cockpit.

I'm similarly interested in cockpit photos of the Su-9U Maiden, for which there doesn't appear to be anything.

The instructions do not show any gunsight, so I guess it is not included. Here is a good look at it: http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/img_871247_1370148454_Su-9-cockpit-009.jpg.html

Not sure what type it is exactly, but it looks like a PKI (Pritsel Kollimator Istrebiteli): http://gunsight.jp/b/english/data/sight-e-s.htm

The colour of the cockpit should be mainly a light grey with the sidewalls being a blueish grey. At least that's what an apparently unrestored Su-9 cockpit looked like of which I've saved pictures. Definitely not the Intermediate blue Trumpeter suggests <_<

Ah, the Su-9U cockpits. Steadily raising the bar in this challenge, aren't you ;) Till now I found nothing, not even in Russian forums. If this doesn't change until I build mine, I decided to base the rear cockpit on the Su-7U. I imagine it wouldn't be too different.

That certainly seems to be the case.    That drawing should be helpful though, thanks!

I'll look into that.    As for the Maiden if I see any photo's I'll post them.

Luckily I remembered that Su cockpit colours are a different colour to the Mig ones before I posted this thread so I did a search and decided to use Tamiya light grey which is grey but has a slight blue tint to it.   I don't know how correct it is but I've painted the various panels flat black.

Here's an interesting (and slightly annoying) aspect for anyone building this kit too.   When I came to building the undercarriage I noticed that the only way to build it is with the wheels pointing inwards.  I immediately thought .....that ain't right as they should be straight.   I looked at as many photo's of the SU11 as I could find but even though the undercarriage looked straight it was still a bit hard to tell.   Anyway this build seems to confirm my suspicions.......

Bizarre mistake by Trumpy but we all know the way they can mess up a kit.   If anyone does find a photo of the wheels pointing inwards then let us know.

I had a look on line and there are some B&W photos of the SU-9 which the SU-11 was the upgraded version.

My "research" 'ahem'  leads me to believe that the Cockpits in Soviet Jets were either light blue or light green, the closest colours I have found are Mr Color 392 for the blue and Mr Color 391 for the green
