T-34-85 Egyptian, Miniart 37071 Interior Kit.

Recommended Posts

Hello there folks, here are some pictures of my completed Egyptian T34/85 by Miniart. There are five versions to choose from in this kit and the one that I have chosen to build was the Egyptian Armed Forces. Six-Day War. Sinai. Summer 1967. I chose this particular version as I liked the odd spider wheel, all other versions had solid wheels and this is the only version which has the wonderful DShK gun on the turret. The only additions that I have added to the model were the tow ropes by Eureka XL and metal tracks by MasterClub. This particular model is the interior build, Miniart also do a non interior version.

There are quite a lot of pictures to show as this model from Miniart is so well detailed, it's a shame not to show it off. Hope you like it.

Here's a quick tour around the tank...

When doing interior builds I do like to show off as much interior as possible when the tank has been built, so to start off I made the top of the turret detachable...

I have used MasterClub metal tracks here which show great detail, paints for the bodywork were by Tamiya using the hairspray technique and then everything else blended using various oil paints for filters and pin washes...

That's it, it's a brilliant model to build, quite intense at times, mainly my own fault in trying to open everything up to show the insides..

Will definitely do more of these marvellous Miniart kits.

If I mentioned everything that I like about this model, then I would be rambling on for ages. So suffice it to say, this is one of the best detailed, best presented and best looking models that I have seen in RFI. You've surpassed yourself with this one Ed. Brilliant job.

I second to John.
There are not so many well-made models like this in the world. And to be more precise, there are very few of them.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the world is not small (I am clearly not a specialist, but considering the data available to me, I think the world maybe be really big)... :)

I have a soft spot for T34's and this one is fantastic! Really well done Ed, whats the next build?

George

Thank you George, really appreciate your comments, my next build will probably be a Miniart SLA T-54 with Dozer Blade, their kit number 37028. Looks a really interesting kit, without turret but a great big dozer blade up front.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

The exterior is tremendous and matches the interior completely. Terrific detail very well executed. Great work! 👏👏👏👏

What a wonderful model this is. Outstanding in all departments...construction, painting, weathering etc and packed full of excellent details. My favourite is probably the chipping especially on the fenders...some of the best I've ever seen!

Well worth all your hard work and perseverance. Well done 👏 👏

Hi Stuart, many thanks for your very kind comments. My two favourite parts are the engine assembly, I think Miniart have done an amazing job in giving so much detail to work with. The other like you is the chipping, I now know why they recommend using Tamiya paints with hairspray as you get really fine detail and quite long working time as well.

thanks again

I love the way it all comes apart to show the fab innards, but without compromising the assembled model in the slightest.. Top class 👍

Thank you, It would have been a shame to have hidden it all away, there's been just so much amazing detail, when you look at the mouldings on the sprue and you see the detail that Miniart provide, it's impressive how they have done this.

all the best and thanks for your comments
