Finally done.. my Jaguar in 1/48 scale. Built OOB, except for the Model Alliance decals and the Master pitot tube. I wanted to build a 6 sqn machine, since those were the last operational Jaguars I saw. Never saw this anniversary bird, but was inspired by a picture by Chris Lofting on Flickr.

Painted with Vallejo and AK acrylics.

Jaguar4

Jaguar3

Jaguar1

Jaguar2

Kind regards,

Gerben

Nice work Gerben.

Always nice to see a Jag and yours is a stunner.  The old Airfix kit although a bit clunky still builds into a nice model.

Great result!!

Model Alliance is somehow missing... :(

(I know that Hannants has some of the range... but still!!)

Did both tanks come with the kit?

Need to check mine...I have an old Airfix anniversary boxing that the Jag shared with a Tornado F3...

Thanx! Yes, the kit comes with two fuel tanks.

The weathered white external tank adds to the "real" look of the model. Very nicely done.

Fabulous work from the 'old' kit. I've been looking at picking one of these up but wasn't sure how it would look when complete. I think your end result has tempted me even more! Great work 👍

Thanks, apart from the exaggerated panel lines, the kit is very nice. The originaliteit Revell decal sheet for a 54sqn jaguar also looks pretty good.
