stevej60
Hi folk's wondered what the origin of these kits is? I have the urge to build a 1/35 Huey looking at the options Revell's kit is hitting the 50 quid mark so coming in at a more reasonable £29 on KK but with that awful(to me) sharks mouth scheme is Academys offering they have a couple of Seminar boxings at £29 with more subdued schemes. Black Knight
A search on Scalemates says the UH-1C is Seminar's own the UH-1B is Seminar's own A 1/50 kit is ex-Fujimi

Giorgio N
ìChances are that Seminar kits are lower quality copies of kits from other manufacturers... I built their Kfir and it was a less detailed copy of the Hasegawa kit with the addition of recessed panel lines. Since they are (or were) in Korea, they may have something to do with the old Academy kits and some seem to be reboxes of such kits (like the 1/50 Fujimi copies). Now the Huey seems to be their own, however reviews don't seem particularly positive. There's one in the RFI section of this forum, may be worth asking the modeller for his view
