Very good start!

Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet either but here is what I have after a bit of time at the bench.

I understand it perfectly. I'm working this way myself. Once I started building a 1:16 hover bike and finally a 1:35 fighter was made.

They are obviously booster units from an orbital scavenger ship. Tsk!  :poke:

Yes, now you have to build the rest of it

Alright pushy...😁

Add some brass wire as you do with these things and sprayed some primer to see how it looks. Using the enterprise neck part as the rear of what to come I think could look good, neededs a lot more greebles adding and definitely need a nose section now.

Like that Enterprise neck section. Re-entry heat shield for the engines?

Now imagine something like a submarine hull suspended above the engines. Maybe even a bubble cockpit like a Canberra?

Grappling arms on the nose for recovering/stealing satellites.

Maybe even a skull and crossbones on the side?

That'll work. I was just thinking of those Japanese space battleships. I can't think of the series name at the moment.

After the battle, along comes this long thin salvage ship with huge engines.

Though the battleships are a very small scale and this looks more 1/100 ish so it may not work. Ah well.

I'll sit back and see where you go with it. I like all the wiring/pipework on the engines BTW.

I just love this.

Trying to identify all the 'domestic' items and donor kits is great fun!

Cheers,

Alan.

Wish I could help but other than the Yakult bottles, the deodorant bottle and the chewing gun tub all the other parts are from aircraft and tanks that I know very little about.

Really liking this a lot, it reminds me of something you'd see in R-Type!

Yes I see what you mean, might be adding a canopy that change the look again.

Made a stand for it as well and the drop ship should hold up with a few small magnets so it will be detachable. Also added the left side array/ defensive gun.

A mate of mine who collects 80's toys came home with a Mask truck today, asked me to fix up the grill as it is missing a fee parts. I will add a bit of plastic card to fill it out a bit more the side bar a bit more but the bottom sections look good.

Right back to it after spending to much making my kids a room in the loft space.

Just about finished glueing odd bits together now. Just the cockpit needs a bit of filling in.

I thought you were making a pro-biotic pod-racer at first!  ;)

At the start I was, still think I might next time.

Looks good, i really like the detail touches. Satin black is an interesting choice of colour, it'll certainly be very dramatic.

The black is just the base colour, I will be going over it to get a faded blue grey with lots of chipping and weathering. With a bitnof luck...

Ahah, good choice then (having just used this exact same colour)
