MALTA SPITFIRE Vc Airfix 1/72, one more in my collection

Recommended Posts

Very interesting! Nice Vc. BTW, what colors were used for this scheme? Just curious, as I don't know very much about  Malta Spitfire colors and markings, and there seems to be a lot of discussion and lack of solid evidence.

PS : If you go, have a nice Telford show. It is not possible to me to come (first time from the beginning), to difficult wit the the covid mesure and the Brexit...

Well, for this one, I had used Humbrol 157 for the top, who is not good for Azur Blue, but I feel not to bad for Light Mediteranean Blue.

For the underside, normally I used Sky Blue from Sovereign Hobby, but with the Brexit and other postage problem, is is nearly impossible to obtain these paints.

and now I use a copy in acrylic paint from Levis REF: R7.04.78 (LV Colour Palette)

Nice looking build Alain. I like your use of Hu 157 for the blue, it looks most convincing & more importantly I still have a tin of the old colour which I'd planned on using on just such a build. :)

I do wish though Humbrol would re-release their amended correct shade Hu 157.

Thank you, more are coming soon, 2 are at dry land, and one at paint land.

It is also possible that I'll take pictures of my "old" Sword and Tamiya ones. One day...

Alain

PS : dry land is the place where my models are waiting there decals.

Nice to see another masterpiece. I like the very subtle weathering as well as the wear and tear effects you apply on each of your Spitfires.

Thank you, not to much,, just a little bit.
