Michael M
Time for something completely different I've started it in August during holidays and it went to the shelf until I finished two lagging ships. Just a few more 'improvements' and I'll move on to painting stage.... It's also clearly visible that the Tamiya tanker looks like medieval peasant beside James Bond, compared with the Stalingrad dudes.... I'll have to figure out a way around that problem.... Bullbasket
Good work so far. I like the damaged replacement flaps on the track guards. John.
Geo1966
I agree with John. What have you used for the front and back of the fenders, is it metal foil? George
Michael M
Thanks. It's that little metal pan, that LIDL Beef pie comes in I'ts actually quite nice to work with, it's much thicker and tougher than normal alu foil, acts more like good old soviet plating
Bullbasket
I've done this sort of thing before, and what I usually use is pewter foil. You can buy it in small sheets. It bends well and holds it's shape. Alternatively, you can use the foil from around the top of wines bottles. John.

LeeM
What is the foam you are using to hold the parts.
Michael M
That dark grey one is just a sanding block, while the yellow ones.... I don't really remember, they were with some automotive parts. Either as packaging material, or some form of applicator for self adhesive stuff.
Bullbasket
It looks like it could be polyurethane foam John.
Michael M
I remembered, its applicator for 3M side marking tape for trucks. It's quite hard.
