Seamus
Morning all, Thought I'd share a few images from what's been a productive, if at times frustrating few days on the fence at Fairford. Four B-1Bs are currently deployed to the base, and frankly it would be rude not to try and make the most of their visit and catch these incredible machines, one of my all time favourite jets 😎 Tuesday was a maintenance day, so only grabbed the odd ground shot, including this sunrise effort Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0110/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 12/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Wednesday started and ended grey, but there was a bit of brightness around lunchtime Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0136/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 13/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Thursday was another gloomy start, but fortunately the sun shone when required for DARK42 in the afternoon 😎 Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Rockwell B-1B Lancer | 86-0140/DY | US Air Force | RAF Fairford | 14/10/21 by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr All in all, a pretty decent start to the deployment. jhutchi
Absolutely amazing. How long are they over here for? I built one in 48 scale about 10 years ago and still have nowhere to display it!

Seamus
Thanks for the additional comments chaps, sadly I've not had any more opportunities to get back up to Fairford when the Bones have flown, so this looks like my lot for this deployment...

geedubelyer
I fully understand why the B-One is your favourite aircraft Shaun, it's a beautiful machine and that's for sure. This is an amazing set of photos, thanks so much for sharing them. Thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. Looking at the burner shots I can almost feel the rumble in my tummy. That last shot shows just how sleek the B-1 is. Brilliant.
