upnorth
Today, I was out at the IDET defense and security exhibition in Brno, Czech Republic and got a chance to get up close to the latest "Tiger" scheme on a Czech air force Mi-24/35 helicopter. The squadron that operates the helicopter is a descendant of 311 Squadron, one of the Czechoslovak squadrons in the Royal Air Force during World War Two, this year marks the 80th anniversary of its founding. 311 was a bomber squadron and the current scheme incorporates the two bomber types the unit flew in the war: a Vickers Wellington and a Consolidated Liberator.
exdraken
Thanks for the great photos! Not sure if I really like the scheme... the blue is so blue..... but as I understand it, the old special scheme in white with Liberator markings was hard to recocgnise or explain but to the most hard-core enthusiasts! spruecutter96
Easily one of the best Hind special-schemes there is. I would love to see it in the UK sometime next year. Thanks for sharing with us. Chris.
