Dogtail2
Not sure if this is the right place to post this.....but, I'm building an ICM Bf 109 F4 which has a separate clear piece for the armoured windscreen which must be attached to the front of the standard windscreen. How would I best glue this on without spoiling either/both transparencies? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Chaotic Mike
PVA (white) glue is your friend... It dries transparent. 4
billn53
Another possibility is to use Future/Pledge, or a clear varnish — but I’ve not tried that before so take my suggestion with a big grain of salt. 1

Andy Young
Good thing about PVA is that you could always (carefully) remove it if it doesn’t go right first time. Good luck! Cheers, Andy
Dogtail2
Thanks for the replies. I thought about using micro kristal klear or pva, but I was worried I might end up with a visible puddle between glass layers. I think I will experiment with all your suggestions on some scrap clear plastc. Thanks again.
bmwh548
PVA glue with the advice to apply a uniform layer of it. If it doesn't get complete "coverage" you'll see the edges when you look carefully.

Well I dont dip my canopies in floor varnish and I've been using Tamiya Extra Thin on them for a decade and not once damaged one. It won't even fog if you slather it over the part to be left unpainted. It just melts the plastic which obscures it beyond repair usually. But TETs capillary action makes it virtually impossible to screw up if you're just careful where you touch the brush to the parts.
colin
Trouble with TET it's capillary action is so good it can spill onto areas you don't want, especially if two flat pieces are touching.
MicroGaz
I have used the new Deluxe Materials Looks Like Glass and had good results. Just apply it very sparingly. And of course it's good for dipping too, that's what it was designed for..Works for me! Gaz
