1/48 Airfix Canberra B(I)6

Recommended Posts

A belated RFI for a model finished a few days ago - I was waiting for the rain to stop!

The build thread is here if you want to watch the painful process that was this one coming together...

Anyway, here she is - any comments/criticism are welcomed👍

Yes by all means post some  more photos. It looks  great. The Canberra is an iconic British Bomber. You've done a  great job on it.

Close ups and low level shots would be great.

You`ve done a lovely job mate,..... shame the kit marking are so poor,.... I`d have been tempted to use some after market ones,... especially as the finish is so good.

Cheers

Beautiful! That’s finished to a very high standard indeed, looks lovely. It’s nice to see one built with the kit decals too, looking really nice!

I'd certainly be proud to have that one in my collection even though I didn't build it.

Hey Matt, Congratulations !!

You did great from such a definitely not shake and bake kit !!

Great job and great finish !!

f my 1/72 Eastern Express B(I)8 turns out half as good I’d be happy!

Very well done

Thank you!

@tonyot The supplied decals were certainly weaker than I expected. WIth hindsight some am decals would have improved things considerably.

@Brigbeale I'm sure your 1/72 kit will be far better than this one!!

As promised, a couple of additional pictures:

I must build a proper booth for this sort of job - the table is far too cluttered...!

Nice build dude! It still absolutely blows my mind that Canberras have still been flying in service with Nasa in 2021 ... it's just absolutely mental, WTF?!?!. What an aircraft!

Cracking Canberra Matt, really lovely job!

And I really like your airfield base in the first pics - really natural looking concrete.....!! :)

Top Job!!

Thank you for all the kind comments, it’s much appreciated.

Patio slabs work well for this shoot, but the weeds are not to scale!

I have a 1/48 PR9 in the stash to go with this one - might have to get that out of the box soon…!😃
