Pelican
Hello folks, This is the 1/48 Hasegawa F-8J converted into a Aéronavale F8-E(FN). The decals and the nose probe are after-market items whereas many details are from scratch. Hope you like it, cheers.

Farmerboy
As good as it gets, the pilot looks really good as well, did he come with the kit?
Vultures1
Beautifully done @Pelican, you have really captured the look of a well-used Crouze. I like the pilot too! Great work

Pete in a shed
Looks awesome in French Naval markings. Beautifully finished model, the panel lining and streaking is very well done. Pete
dov
Hallo Pelican Great built! My F-8 is in my stash. You did a good work all together. As a little critical: The 6th photo from top shows you the missile, and you may notice the that it looks as a strange body. Not the color at all. The geometry is obsucre, due to the old thick mold! Here pay please more attention to it, it may spoil the quality of an excellent model! I also had this experience. Modelers in my club showed me differences. Like Hasegawa / Eduard Brasin / GWH missiles, all the same type, how it looks like if attatched. Well, it was a hard learning. Sometimes I prefer to build some a/c clean or with just pylons on it. Others with full load, like on real photos. Happy modelling
exdraken
Wow, fantastic Cruze! With a blue Magic missile Hard to imagine that they were only retired in 1999 or so!
Pelican
Thank you very much for your kinds comments, The pilot was included in the kit but I had to rework the helmet and the o2 mask. Hello Dov, I am a little bit puzzled by your comment about the Matra Magic I missile (blue for training actually , it is a inert missile equiped with an IR seeker). The missile is not from the kit, is the shape wrong? Edited October 3, 2021 by Pelican

Ghostbase
A very nice build which shows what can be done with the Hasegawa kit. Have always loved the French Crusaders and it was good to see them at airshows in the UK until the late 1990's. Michael
