CliffB
By chance John, I've just started watching Valley of Tears. Worth a watch if you can catch it in Greece Unfortunately no Pipers in it (at least, not yet). Cheers

Andwil
I’d say that little plane has spent a lot of time under the desert sun! AW

John Masters
Those are fun builds @Corsairfoxfouruncle Dennis. The histories of the Israeli Spitfires make for fascinating reading. KP has an excellent array of Israeli S-199 'Mules'. Happy modelling!

Yes Sadly only available in Europe, I am lucky if I can order once a year from Hannants or anywhere else besides the U.S. because of shipping costs. I managed to use their 1940 Armee de l'Air acrylic colours on a P-36, but it took hours to get decent coverage as the paint dried almost instantly on the needle, even with their own thinners. Their lacquers get good reviews, and some modellers here swear by them, but as you noted these aren't for everyone. Your Piper is a little cracker, and I'm really glad you managed to recover from the Hataka 'problem'.
