AMB Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 (edited) I have been advised that Air Graphics are working on a 1/72 Auster AOP.9 kit. After years of only having the old Airfix Antarctic, plus the short-run AZ kits (that cannot be found anywhere), this is more than welcome. Can't wait to do an Army Air Corps one with dayglo panels or Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force! Previously the only AOP.9 kit was the horrendously difficult Hallam-Vac kit. TEXANTOMCAT Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 This is good news - but to be 'that guy' I'd love a J/1! TT 2

JamesP Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 I asked Gary about this and he says it's due Q3 2022. 1 2
fightersweep Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Fantastic news! I've been after an AOP 9 for years. Too much of a coward to try the Hallam vac kit.
AMB Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 Also proposed this to Micromir, Vallom and CMK. Will see who bites the bullet first! 🙄
Homebee Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 (edited) In 2022 Air-Graphics is to release a 1/72nd Auster AOP.9 resin kit - ref. They issue multiple conversions and details every months. Also, really good decal sheets that are available through Hannants. Everything else must be ordered directly from their website. I do so pretty regularly and have always been satisfied. Full kits do seem to have very long lag times between announcement and issuance. Don’t give up. 1
Ed Russell Posted August 5 Posted August 5 No longer in their Future Projects list so probably abandoned. It does happen over the years that what seemed like a good idea at the time turns out to be not so good. You could always ask them directly - their Faecbook page is quite active.

Graham Boak Posted August 5 Posted August 5 So many is how many? Five or six? If many more then it would be worth commissioning one paid for by crowdfunding. However, there is a big difference between those who would like a specific subject and those prepared to pay for it once it appears. 1
