If the guy in the green T Shirt looking at the pump is wondering where the E5's gone, then he has my sympathies. On the other hand, if that garage has E5, then where is it, I need to know, E5 is getting quite rare now.

Just fill up with super-unleaded, that's always E5. I've only ever had trouble finding it in the deepest darkest parts of Wales so far.

Unfortunately, it was another one of those rarities which you only get a really bad shot of on the dashcam under some trees, but near Hitchin yesterday was a very nice condition 1970s four--door Lancia, I think it was probaby a Fulvia but couldn't say for definite.

That brown Mk1 Escort 4 door .

Oh, Bronze surely, Windy...... ‼️😇

Another little survivor parked up today, like it's not a big deal....

Not even sure if it's a Pride 'nJoy collector's prize possession - could just be a run around that has kept going.

J reg suffix, now let me think..... My old Triumph T100S was F reg....... 68 or 69??🤔

F reg was Aug 67 to Jul 68 - it was first year of August change that ran though to the major change to 21st century March/Sept new system, though it had changed to a prefix in mid 80s

Another Strange Day.

Went to an Art Exhibiton, which was held in a barn on a farm in the darkest depths of Essex. Sitting having a coffee and stroking their dog when there was a loud noise outside, and itwas this...

By the registration, first reg'd in Scotland, although the new owner (only just got it) reckons it's always been Essex based. Right hand drive which apparently makes it rare. Note the two stop watches - methinks he does a bit of rallying in it. He said it doesn't like poodling, needs to be legging it to stop it flooding. Shortly after this, he opened the passenger door and there, sat on the passenger seat was...a bunch of bananas!!!

Don't think that exhaust is original!!

That is so cool!  Must be worth a fortune as well.

Just inside Cottesmore village on the road from Oakham this morning with a For Sale sign in the windscreen.

A very shiny Mk 1 Astra GTE

Wish it was nearer, always fancied one of those.

But then I couldn't afford it anyway...!! 🤣

When I was a youngster, a local identity had a 356 in mid green metallic. Not being hugely savvy of such things, I was greatly impressed by the sign on the dash exhorting the occupants to keep the windows up above 120mph. In their dreams I later realised. :D It was also a right hooker but with a largish white steering wheel from memory. The Moto Lita in this one detracts from the originality of it to my mind but would be a hell of a lot more comfortable in use.

Well used maroon Triumph Dolomite on an N- plate outside Halfords this lunchtime. I don' t know which variety it was, but it had black c pillars and rear light/ reg surround if that narrows it down. Just said Dolomite on the back, no numbers or letters.

Oh, and (presumably the owners) initials on the door in gold, which is both really sad and now quite quaint.

Any love out there for a black 03 plate VW Bora? In used condition but it seemed to go quite well.

A52 this morning heading into Grantham.

I think they look good lowered and with decent paint.

Had the thing been given another name I could give it a glance, but Maserati own that monika. In the same way, the brand new Chevrolet Malibu I followed though Mildenhall recently had me wishing for a Bren gun.

None at all from me, hateful dull things which can't disappear off the roads fast enough for my liking. I genuinely would rather have a Trabant than one of those!:ner:

One for the Ford fans, parked in Hunstanton yesterday.

spot18-vi.jpg

Other recent spots, but no photos...  a yellow T-reg Lotus Elite, a '68 Mustang coupe, a Morris Traveller and some horrible 4-doorPorsche thing.

Coming through Canterbury earlier today, a beautiful creamy yellow '65 Ford Mustang coupe pulled out behind me and burbled sedately behind me right through the town.  As I turned off for home it swept past emitting the glorious V8 rumble only a well-tuned 289 can make.  I was able to get a good look albeit in my mirrors and noted some useful detail for the 1:16 scale model currently in build.

Well there was a Gulf Porsche 917. I didn't really notice anything else after seeing that. 🤤

I didn't get that far - I stalled at the GT40...  :inlove:

Fantastic place to visit, I've been there three times spread over several years and love it.

Well, I was talking to the new owner, but didn't have the cheek to ask him!

He did, however, say that it is more valuable than a concourse version, because of its race history

A curiosity, spotted in town yesterday, but not seen by me before.

MR2 Mk2 Rev 1

52313151312_c178c1aaf3_b.jpg 52311352267_84535bc355_b.jpg

It's clearly a Rev 1 - 14" wheels, but the spoiler looks all wrong, I'm pretty sure it came out the factory with the same wrap around tray style that my Rev 2 has got. Looks in very nice nick, though.
