That Niki Lauda tribute livery is a one-off, if I remember correctly. A full-on Tailor Made car.

Well, the one I saw had UK personalised registration, but, I've checked it out and the Niki Lauda is an extremely expensive limited edition, so ne in Essex is not impossible. It was heading round to the John Lewis car park, if that means anything!!

Well, what a strange day. Went to Bradwell in order to see the barge race.

On the way there, I spotted:

A series 4 Alpine (shorter rear fins)

4 Porsches in a row (modern, either 911 derivatives or Boxers)

Shortly afterwards, another three Porsches - where were they all going?

Heading into Bradwell:

A Ford classic Capri

A Corvette Sting Ray

A Ginetta G15 - these going in convoy

Shortly behind them, A Scammel of huge size, painted in United Dairies colours???

Then, round by the power station car park, this:

Absolutely immaculate.

Them, later on, we visited the local flower show, which had, out the back

Also immaculate

I presume somebody on here has some history of this.

A venerable beast. My pal at the time's mum had the Riley version and my pal has the dubious honour of being the first person to pile one into the Forth Road Bridge (ice, he said!!)

A remarkable day!

Gotta love the Wolseley.

I had one briefly in 1972. Pale blue.

Never got to drive it though.

replaced it with a 1963 Mini 850.

Cheers,

Alan.

Been on holiday and there's been too many to remember, let alone mention. But, having built a Russet Brown MGB on here I feel it's only fair to mention the not one, but two, Russet Brown Reliants seen on my travels. The second one isn't that much of a rarity these days  - Scimitar GTE, but I think I'm the second one in as many pages of this thread to report a sighting of a Reliant Kitten, although on this the brown was somewhat faded.

As for the obligatory photo, here's a motorised Cosy Coupe :D

Here are a few photos from the VSCC Prescott hillclimb meeting on Sunday.

y4mDYDbUfUlEci69qZ10zrkHJbn1xdUrFUdnYfRG

Lots of Austin 7s, given that it's the model's centenary, these ones appear to be enjoying the view.  And who can blame them?

y4mo8RJweNPta0GnDamJbo6s-Uz9WDDNQUBTDRLL

There was lots to see in the classic car park, including plenty of MGs.

y4mBIsn42OastekpCloqa0jrYDDN_vpGsV9U5muo

If you prefer larger machinery, there were plenty of vintage Vauxhalls.

y4mOQxkNdkTpMHm_x_GvmOTeGv72p7CBXFVHplRo

Quite a few Bentleys like this 3 litre...

y4mmumboG1SRbV5UIB5BNR1o2w2e1ie6qL4KoajQ

...and this Blower.

y4mIoey01DiktpoNzt8PGngokTCYmcChqQVTHJUL

I don't know much about this Sunbeam except that I love its well-used look.

y4m5fQb4Y2jL5Cls7cqleJfhw4s-HUiKy41zAhrI

There was foreign stuff too, such as this glorious Alfa Romeo.

y4m-dWYyVpTJ-a2d1TY7nT8KL5UbzGH-OeYstMIp

I don't think I've ever seen so many Lancia Lambdas in the same place before.

y4m08rjxr1IYjbLQA-kR-2rexKWRCfo_ApUzjrjF

I don't think I've ever seen a Lancia Flavia convertible, which looks a lot like a mini-Maserati.

y4m4C1umOgv648T_bdjLPlnhs3aesYork9FoSCfU

To end, here are a couple of Bristols, this 403...

y4mfSbKmAdpcYvqQzhF5D0ChlUGUOPGHOMthqaS8

...and this 411 Series 3.

I've got a few more photos if people are interested and I might try sharing some videos in the motorsport thread.

MG TD. The weather was vile but the MG driver was enjoying the ambience with the top down.

Also saw a Ferrari 308 GTB and a Mercedes 280E, participants in a fundraising rally that was passing through.

All the other rally cars I saw were 1980s Fords and Holdens. Meh.

😄 oh mate, that was a beauty of a car, the engine was so clean, had a good chat with the owner and he said it is much fun, I can imagine,  would be great for some traffic light racing against a hot hatch,  not that I recommend that sort of thing obviously

There were some cracking pickups there too, but loved the Chevy Pickup in the photo too.

A bit overdue on this, so more spots of the last few weeks rather than the day. A couple of weeks ago we visits my Bro in Law & family at their West Coast Sth Island home. "The Coast" as it is known is a different part of the world, the BiL has about a 1/4 acre back yard, I don't think they've even gone metric down there. ;) :D & the whole place tends to the rustic, however, the welcomes are the warmest ever & the locals are a great bunch. Their early twenties son who still roosts at home as he saves his money, I think. had recently bought a 2006 Nissan 350Z for what seemed to me a pittance, ok, he had to spend some money on it, new brake rotors & other stuff but modest enough & at the end, he had a honey of a motor, I'm a great fan of anything with a Nisan VQ series power plant in it & this ones 3.5 litre one was very nice. He took his uncle, moi, for a drive in it & then invited him to drive it. Nooiiice. :D What a lovely car to drive, we didn't go very fast but on some winding roads, I was hugely impressed at how it drove, the sweet 6 speed manual & great handling. Quite a treat.

Lee's 350Z

The Mini is my BiL's, a basic 1000 which he has done a lovely job on. The rest of the trip showed up more nice motors than I can remember, but since coming back, one trip out brought forth a 1974 VW Beetle, very tidy, a 1967 ID19 Citroen, a real rare beast this days, a 2008 Porsche Boxster, very smart in black & a ??? (didn't get the rego) Morris 1000 Countryman, in cream. looking much more authentic than the modern day ersatz specimen I posted recently.

Had to go to Bristol today, and saw plenty of nice vehicles in the Cotswolds.  Most notable were a couple of Morgans (in British Racing Green), a Morgan 3-wheeler (!), and a dark blue Jaguar XK120.  Sadly, no pictures - sorry.

A Ford Ranchero in Hereford. Looking for all the world like an American Ute, goggle fu-ing leads me to believe it’s late 50’s or so.Round rear lights and ‘mini wings’ if that helps tie it down.

Hi guys, I hope you dont mind me joining in this. Around here, the neighbouring areas are very affluent so modern exotica is quite everyday. What I find more interesting are the 1991 Polos and the like which really should have been scrappaged or just died naturally, with quite a few regular spots. There is

also a US specialist so todays maroon 59 Cadillac hardtop is kind of cheating a bit.

However two standouts this morning, a blue X- plate Rover 45, why would you?. And a 1977 ? R- plated  Ford Capri convertible in black with gold lining. I think they were done by Crayford but some people used to make their own if I recall.

Not something you see everyday though.

There's something about this one that just doesn't look right.

Daimler 4l, with big rectangular lights. I've seen other photos of one that doesn't look so brutal. I think it's the black painted grill.

I think the "brutal" look suits it.  Makes it less sedate, more street racer!
