I was stunned to see this traction avant in the Stourport on Severn Tesco carpark today;

For a car at least 67 years old, it looked in great condition.

The Citroen looks lovely.

Yesterday lunchtime, coming out of Tesco in Sleaford, a blue Renault Spyder and, later, on the A17, a yellow Caterham.

Heading into town yesterday, a Morris 1300 traveller going the other way, couldn't get the rego but looked like a Mk II from photos of them. These hold a soft spot for me, as a 14 year old, a mates Grandad took us down to a sometimes tidal sand flat (only on king tides) nearby in his one & taught us the rudiments of driving, stared without pig jumping, stopping in a controlled manner & basic vehicle control, lessons that stayed with me as I sat my license a year or so later.

A very strange look: an exotic Lamborghini at the car wash next to Aldi.
I don't know the type, but it was an elegant sleek design and as low as my hip. How do you get out of such a car if you are a bit older?

Worry about getting in first!

I'd have thought an avant would be well out of most of our pockets but a DS; given you've got their home in your doorstep have you just been unlucky , or are they in ludicrous price land?

To tell the truth the white Lamborghini Gallardo I pass every day going into work doesn't wow me, although it does look nice and I wouldn't mind having it. And there are so many 911s around here they're not worth passing comment on. So I'll mention the Mk2 MR2 in red which didn't look too bad, but much nicer was the Lotus Elise coming the other way in Gold Leaf colours. However, my favourite of the day was this little beauty (Bedford HA) waiting to pull out onto the dual carriageway - doesn't it look small compared to the BMW I was passing?

I saw one 3 years ago at Bicester Heritage, but can't remember the last time I saw one out in the wild.

This was just in my street, I had a chance to make a picture because they were putting the top down as it started raining. It's looking mint 🙂

They are a bit on the pricey side for a good one but the main problem is over here we have an autocross club ever since the sixties which means everything gets raced on the beach,Jersey doesn't and is full of classics....

Just to give you an idea in the mid 80's i've seen MkI/II/III of all Fords,Imp,Minx, V8 Pilots (everything between A and Z basically)and even a 58 Humber Hearse that was in mint condtion it still brings a tear to my eye 35+ years later...

Spotted yesterday at The Lincolnshire Show.

First, this very neat Mk1 Cooper S Historic Racer;

And, at the opposite end of the size and agility scale, this Ford Galaxie 500 Skyliner.

It sounds like heaven for a petrolhead!

Back in the day it was sacraligious but these days it's getting difficult to race them because of all the computers/electrics,as for the petrolheads kids wouldn't know where to start these days,give 'em a carb to tune or a cam to balance...

Saw a Chrysler Crossfire today in a silver/grey colour. Not seen one for years and a quick google said there are just over 2700 in UK. Odd looking thing!

Holiday in Norfolk last week.

First ones with no photo as I was driving.

Pale Blue Lambo in Chelmsford - no idea which model, but it was shaped like a wedge of cheese and I'm pretty sure it was a Lambo badge on the front.

Near Cromer - a bright yellow Lambo, similar to the above.

On the way home, two Austin Seven's, one being driven, one on the back of a trailer.

Further south, another Austin, same era as Seven, but looked bigger.

And now the photos:

Two Morris Estates

Spotted these, at first there was a Metal bumpered MGB beside them, but I caught them on the way back, two Armstrong Siddleys and an Alvis, parked outside Cromer Car Restoration.

And then this, in a garden in East Runton. Amazingly, if you look up its MOT history - is hasn't got one, it's never been MoTd!!

And then, because I know some people on here model such vehicles:

These live in the West Runton Shire Horse Sanctuary.

 A white, immaculate, Mk1 Escort Twin Cam on Minilites - my ultimate dream car.... 😍

Seeing the other one on steelies (as originally sold?) is probably more amazing in these days of resto-bling!
