Just read through it and realised my mistake - two photos of the "interior" (can it be called that) of rhe Georges Rickard, so here's the missing one.

There was a lot more there that I didn't photo, but, there's another show next month.!

But here's one I did photo.

Looked absolutely immaculate.

I had a delivery in Lowestoft today. So I stopped off at Hannants. Well, why not? Though I only bought bits & bobs. Just over a tenner. Wow eh?

But, parked across the road, believe it or not, an L reg Morris Marina four door, in white. Just like the old Airfix kit!

Now some may call it an omen for their re-releases*, but I just thought it was a slightly rusty but not too bad old car.

It looked like original paint with the odd rust run here and there. I imagine it's recently been exhumed from someones garage.

*One of the Hannants guys said there's a car restoration place up the road. So probably not a re-release then.

At the lights on the eastbound offslip of the M27 Jn5, a Renault Alpine A110, a 21 plate too, obviously a brand new car, looked like the dog's dooh-dahs, a modern take on the classic Alpine, most droolworthy!

Hi Pete,

Next time you go to Lowestoft, if you are coming in on the A146 (the Beccles road, to the south of Lowestoft), I can recommend this place, https://www.hobbies.co.uk/ its about 10 minutes off the A146. - Andy

I wish I could have taken a photo but I was driving at the time; I saw a 3rd generation Honda Prelude in Coventry today, parked at a tyre fitting centre.  It's been years since I last saw a Prelude but I had three Preludes of that shape so I'm always pleased to see one.

I was in Aldeburgh today for work and ended up parking next to this Diane (I can't remember the last time I saw one).  it was a bit shabby in places, but I thought it really suit the car.

Attended the Los Angeles Auto Show yesterday, been going periodically for +40 yrs.  Depressing. Only about 1/2 the manufacturers showed up, understandable I guess due to remaining Covid issues and supply chain shortages (why promote a product you don’t have to sell?). Theme of the show was new big heavy $$$$ e-vehicles. Appears the golden age of ICE’s may be quickly coming to an end?

Two “S-O-T-D”’s I took pics of:

the new Z, very nice in-person and a nice size (compact compared to current vette, Porsche, etc):

Porsche showed this good looking new E-spec racer, I didn’t even bother to asked the suits what the sticker price was going to be:

Snap! I also saw a Gen 3 whilst driving, brown it was and seemed highly polished. Like you, John, I've always had an eye for that car, but I've never owned one.

All the way down to a small village in Northern Essex today. On the way back, in a random village, an old Renault parked in a front garden.

I thought Fuego, but I'm not so sure now. It had louvres on the rear window(s) ?

I have a vague recollection of seeing something like that and a bit of Googling indicates that the Renault17 Coupe could be supplied with louvres.

I had quite a surprise yesterday, driving between Kidderminster and Stourport, to see a metallic brown Mk.1 escort.

It looked in really good condition, but didn't get a chance to see the reg number.

I had a K reg one. The colour was called Tawny. Only 1100cc but a great drive.

Today, in Nottingham a pristine MG Metro. In Bingham (Just up the road) a Renault Estafete Fourgon (picture found online).

Another moment where I wish I'd had a dashcam, driving home from work this afternoon down the A429 past Barford.  A Ford Zodiac Mk.II which would have been fairly remarkable but this was an estate, which I knew was made (converted by Abbot's of Farnham) but which I don't think I've ever seen before.  It looked lovely in two-tone white over grey.

I thought a Granada estate was waiting at the roadworks red light yesterday.  Getting closer it turned out to be a similar period Toyota.

Checking photos online I think it must have been a Toyota Crown S110 Estate.  But it could have been the previous gen S80 or S90?

Driving home from work last night, 7 pmish up our main street which the local council reconstructed insanely too narrow, some sort of behavioral modification attempt :( , a shiny black Mk 3 Zephyr, a new one to me but I was to busy looking out for suicidal Saturday diners to get a good look at it. A brief impression was very nice though.

No photo but I thought it was unique enough to mention, whilst carrying out some very mundane inspections on a nondescript factory unit in Norfolk today there was a absolutely immaculate Pagoda Mercedes raised up on a two post lift, but stored under the Merc was an even more stunning XK120.  Once I had finished dribbling over them the owner very causally mentioned that the Jag use to belong to Clark Gable!, which would make this car below.  Unfortunately the owner did want to take any photos,  but I can't blame him - still made my day.
