Also spotted in that scenic area , but driving so couldn’t photo , a Datsun 240 Z and a rubber bumper MG , both in 1970s style orange . Gary . Ah, a Clubby Estate! A brilliantly practical classic. Mine is completely standard, but is still a great deal of fun to drive. Trevor

Tyas
Unusually, I went to Jakarta for 3 days last weekend. My team got an AMG GLE53 press car to test as well as invited by AMG Club Indonesia for their anniversary event, so naturally I would not say no to such invitation... Found this Exige Cup 260 during a breakfast event with Ferrari on Saturday, I think the owner of this Exige very rarely took the car out. His Espada or Morgan AeroMax saw more daylight than the Exige. Did not expect this SL60 AMG to arrive, one of only 49 RHD SL60 AMG ever built. GT3 RS 4.0, the holy grail of 997-generation 911. I think there are only 3 in the whole country, all in Carrara White. A neat 190E Cossie passing by is a normal occurrence in Jakarta. Also did a photoshoot with this AMG SLS Black, which is something I never thought I would ever be able to do. This being one of my all-time top 5 favourite car ever, I was giggling like a child.

Though I would love to have a go in 991.2 GT3 manual. Once had a taster in a 991.1 GT3 RS, that thing is cracks on 4 wheels. That 9000rpm flat-six buzz is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Even better than Aventador's V12.

Pete in Lincs
On Wednesday, at a pub just South of Lincoln. The Landladies Summer car is a red '66 Mustang notchback complete with straight six engine. Today in Horncastle, a garage owner there keeps a red H reg Lancia Delta.
johnlambert
Almost a week old, what felt like the last day of summer and a classic car show in the Pump Room Gardens, Leamington Spa. I didn't take many photos but this Lotus Elite was lovely. Probably a significant percentage of the surviving Morris Marinas and Itals. This coupé was gloriously 1970s in its body and interior colour scheme. Quite often I'm asked, "So, which car would you like to take home if you could?" In this case I actually took this Armstrong Siddley 346 Sapphire from 1955, home. By which I mean I drove it back to the museum where it lives, I didn't take it back to my home. I'd have rather driven this Austin Healey 3000 Mk.III home, but I'd driven it in the morning and the other driver and I had agreed to swap cars for the return journey. Both cars belong to the British Motor Museum and can usually be seen there.

I’ve always felt I’m better off seeing classic cars at the shows & let someone else take on the troubles of ownership. But to be able to drive the museum pieces definitely wins spot of the day!

Over thirty years ago, I owned a Honda VF750F. It was red-lined at 11,500 RPM! The howl it made at the red-line was just mesmeric. A 750cc V-4 on full chat, brilliant! Cheers,. Alan. klubman01
At about 1pm on the M11 northbound (just north of Duxford) I saw a Mk1 Escort van on a trailer. Can't remember the last time I saw of of those. It looked in need of a restoration. Trevor
MR2Don
Been up to Norfolk again! First, the ones with no photo: On A11 travelling up - Audi R8 went past. On A11 travelling back - Triumph 2000 or 2.5pi, couldn't tell you which, but it was in blue and had some sort of posters for something on the side. In Sheringham - Two Moggy Minors in pretty sorry looking state, one with "For Sale" on the windscreen and an A35. In Cley - a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow of 1976 vintage, looked very nice. And now for the photos: Sunshine has faded the yellow paint a bit on the photo, it was actually about the same shade as the "thing" below, but it looked pretty good. It's a Sprite, sounded nice driving in as well. Brancaster Staithe in the background and, boy, was it COLD!!! What can I say!!! Rather obvious where its photo'd! A Rolls Royce Wraith. Interior was a milky coloured leather, very nice indeed. It was parked next to a chippy!! Edited October 4, 2021 by MR2Don

MR2Don
Little trip up to Thaxted and found a Maserati Ghibli. Thaxted Church in the background (it doesn't lean like the Tower of Pisa, I just have difficulty holding my camera level) and... What is that white thing sitting in front of it - I wonder🤔🥴 Oops, almost forget it. Spotted a Morgan three wheeler on the way back - well, not really, it was the one I saw at the classic car show a while back, check back through my "Spot of the Day" posts and you'll see it. He must have got wet driving it as we'd just had an almighty downpour. Edited October 5, 2021 by MR2Don
Spiny
Appreciate that this is going to sound like one of those unsubstantiated boasts (I did look on the dashcam, but it was back far enough in the queue to get on the roundabout that all you can make out is two yellow lights), but on the way home a very nice maroon Ferrari 250 GT Coupe about 4 cars back in the queue to get onto the roundabout. Not quite sure why the owner had it out in rush hour traffic (he must be mad!) and wish I could have got a better look. Figured that one was worthy of a mention even without an even quarter-decent pic.
MR2Don
Well, here's one for you all. An eighty Anniversary Morgan 4/4. It's actually my brother in law's car, his second Morgan and it is immaculate. I don't know which one of the eighty produced it is, I should have asked him.
