I wonder how these kits will compare with the Hasewawa ones, released some years ago.

in a few words, they are much better. The downside of the previous release of the F-2A was that it did not have a centerline tank. I have the B and I would take it over the Hasegawa any day.

The Veer Guardian joint exercise was a big deal in Japan so I wasn't surprised that FineMolds decided to feature it with a special release.

Does anyone know if the Veer Guardian edition of F-2A will have a sprue with the centreline fuel tank?

I will go out on a limb and say no. The photos I've seen of the aircraft do not show it installed and quite likely this release was simply a pile of kits manufactured from the original release. HobbySearch usually shows all the sprues included in a kit but does not show this kit this way.

This product is available through HobbySearch Japan has the tank plus outboard wing station, which are not in the kit. The FineMolds kit wheels are excellent but they are included in this 3D printed package made for the Hasegawa and FineMolds F-2.

Thank you @Gene K for the link.

I've bought through Booth.pm, something like Etsy in Japan. Here is just the centerline tank.

Hope this helps.

Thank for the link, I will think about it. The thing is that I have great DXM and Platz decal sets, would like to do 4 machines in special markings, but important element of them are inscriptions on the centreline fuel tank. It was missing in the main issue of F-2A kit, but was added in F-2B. The F-2A "Flight Development Experiment Group" also had it, but don't want to buy too many of this boxing - if I return to sanity someday and will want to reduce the stash, experimental version might be difficult to sell. The Veer Guardian looks great on the other hand.
