SimonL
This has been sat on my desk for months 80% complete. It’s the Roden 1:72 kit of WWII British Armoured Car (Pattern 1920 Mk 1) finished as “Ajax” of the 1 Armoured Car Company RAF in Iraq in 1941 (or so the box says). Brush painted used Vallejo acrylics and weathered (rather more than intended) using a variety of acrylic washes, Army Painter quick shade washes and dry brushing with oils. Headlamp glass made from some Humbrol clearfix. Not my best work, some of the fit was so-so and as I said I’ve made it a bit grubbier than intended. But that RAF roundel on the turret came out ok, so not too unhappy. Thanks for looking.

Hairtrigger
Great result...Lights look brilliant... Did this model myself sometimes ago and was a little disappointed in the overall quality and fit, but it turned out reasonable in the end. I'd like to eventually do the 1/35 version.. Looked at my effort again and seeing yours must do something with the headlights.. Edited September 25, 2021 by Hairtrigger

stevehnz
Very nice Simon, a worthy subject given great treatment, I reckon your weathering is about right. You've given me an idea for my one. Steve.

SimonL
Thanks for positive comments. @Hairtrigger like the base on yours - and you did a much better job than I on the wheel rims.
