thorfinn
This is Monogram's venerable 1/48 Mossie done up as FB Mk. VI "Wolf" of 605 (County of Warwick) Squadron, 100 (Bomber Support) Group, flying from Bradwell Bay, Essex in late 1943. According to Aeromaster's 48-552 "Mosquito Raiders V" sheet, the squadron flew in support of the Main Force Lancasters to counter the threat of German nightfighters. Wikipedia adds mention of intruder missions and 'Doodlebug'-tipping over the Channel and Southern England. Paints are Tamiya acrylics. Hope you enjoy! 44
SAT69
I'm old enough to remember when that kit was first issued. You've done a fine job and can be proud of the end result.
Murewa
Nice! Prompted some interesting reading on the 'bomber support' role. Thanks. 🙂

stevehnz
That looks very smart, the more so for being such an old kit. Steve.

Thanks. 🙂 It did for me as well. The term 'Mosquito Panik' was one with which I was unfamiliar...but it adds yet another cool chapter to the 'Wooden Wonder's' amazing story. Thanks to all for your kind words.

GREG DESTEC
Great to see these older tooling built rather than languishing in the stash. A really nice rendition of the Mosquito. Well done 👍
Nanond
Very good and especially for this vintage. It can stand up against a kit like from Tamiya without problem. Nanond
Spitfire31
Good lesson in producing an excellent model from an elderly kit! Kind regards, Joachim

Gary Brantley
Yes, I agree with all the above comments. That turned out great! The old Monogram kit can still turn out a beautiful scale model and one that would grace anyone's display cabinet!
