Tweener
Does anyone have any photos of the Bristol Bulldog TM Two-Seat trainers? And does anyone know where to obtain the Maintrack resin conversion for one? Thanks in advance, Tweener
RAS
First the bad news Maintrack went out of business about 10 years ago. Good news - I think that I have a book somewhere with pictures and drawings will have a look when I have a chance

europapete
It is an easy conversion without any conversion kit.

Is the front cockpit on the TM in the same location as the cockpit on a standard fighter?

europapete
Yes, the front cockpit was not changed on the trainer.
Patrik
Warpaint No. 66 on Bristol Bulldog contains both photos and colour profiles of K-3180 of No. 41 Squadron and K-3181 of No. 19. There are minimum two full 1/72 resin kits of TM. One by HRmodel and one by Omega Models. I have the former, not bad, just seems to be slightly undernourished in the fuselage. If you plan conversion, you will have to take care about three major differences - the obvious second cockpit, different fin and rudder compared to the single-seater (at least two types - check the references) and 3,5 deg sweepback on both wings, introduced in order to compensate for the shift of CG caused by the rear cockpit.. I did receive them, but naturally didn't think to compare them to plain plans. Has college worn me down so fast? It's been 3 weeks! 😃🔨

Paul Thompson
Chris, Nice photo. Interesting how the sharp dihedral disguises the slight sweepback. Paul.
