Does anybody know if any extra goodies are available or planned? yes I'm making up an order for you-know-where and need to get to the free postage limit. Some glazing masks and fiddly resin bits would be nice.

 

Are the Arctic decals still available?

Arctic decals don't list currently 1/144 scale but 1/72 is available. So if you contact Mika I believe he can make set for you. Best is contact by email arcticdecals(at)gmail.com

 

And improved engines would be nice to have for this kit.

Mika of Arctic Decals is a wonderful guy. He made me a special set of HP42 decals in 1/72 for “Hadrian”. Have two Contrail kits and a 3D printed one on the way from Japan.

 

At the time of communication I suggested he should do a set in 1/144 including of course the extra one for ‘Hadrian’. Since then Airfix have re-released their 1/144 scale kit so perhaps now is the time for him to release some decals. 😊

Mike Grant used to do a set of decals in 1/144th, which I've used and they were excellent. That was a long time ago, but if you track him down he may still have some.

Mr Hills, I also have the One Man Model 1:48 H.P. 42 kit and I plan on building a sectioned model that exposes the interior like this one: https://collection.maas.museum/object/241333  I also plan on purchasing the ArcticDecal set.

Can you share any tips or progress with your model?
