Windy37
Another Safari Rally car from Aoshima / Beemax , this time a Nissan 240RS driven by Shekhar Mehta on the 1984 event . Like the Opel Manta 400 a Group B car but not in the same league as Peugeot’s and Audis from the same era . An easy kit to build , I think Beemax are as good as Tamiya . Detail is excellent ; there is a PE upgrade kit available , but I prefer my kits as they come and I like to add my own detail such as adding the correct cigarette sponsorship branding . There is a full WIP for this build on the WIP section . Here’s the finished product Thanks everyone who commented and joined in the discussions on the WIP . Next build is in the planning stages …. Spiny
This was shaping up to be a good build, and the end result confirms it. Excellent job of the masking too.

Toftdale
The person who signed off the position of the 2 N's in Nissan on the bonnet still wants shooting 😂🤣. But this doesn't take away from the fact that this is a great build - Andy

I would have put the Safari plate above the bonnet vent , Nissan in its place and Marlboro just above the rally plate . Positioning of rally car numbers , and associated rally support names , have to be in certain areas on the car , so this could have had a bearing on the bonnet branding . Thanks for your interest , Andy . Gary .

bigbadbadge
Great work on this, a cracking model. It's a beastie of a car. It sort looks like the lovechild of an affair between an Audi Quattro and a Fiat/Abarth Mirafori, but definitely Nissan at the rear. Great work. Still can't work out why the budget never allowed for a proper radiator grille at the front . 🤔 Thanks again everyone for their kind comments . kapam
An excellent build! I have only recently become acquainted with the Beemax range and they look like highly desirable kits and subjects.
