I’ll probably keep the kit scheme on the Academy, going to have to find something interesting for the LS. I’ll start chipping away but I reckon I won’t really get going properly till I’ve got my two F16s done.

Funnily enough 1/48 is my default scale for exactly that reason, but I’ve taken to 1/144 as a nice scale for modern jets.

Have you figured out the second scheme ? There are plenty of colorful Japanese options if you wish to retain the decals ? If not there is always Israeli, Greek, Turkish, “E’s” and you could always attempt to make it an German “F” or an USAF “G”.

6d815ab3-9b2c-4dd0-8754-06c1f190e3ea.jpeThe choice is bewildering but these are my two front runners. As happens I have Luftwaffe decals left over  from one of my 1/144 typhoons. But I think I’m leaning towards the grey one, I think it would look pretty good next to the Vietnam camo phantom, hmmm.
