Hi, looking at @simmerit  DEF mantlet, on the moulding block it says UK Mk 5, my Shot Kal cover said IDF, hadn't even realised they did separate ones until I looked and compared the two.

Can I ask what grade of Mr Surfacer you used for the cast texture?

Cheers

Good point!  Mine was the Mk 5 mantlet - they also do a Mk 3.  Not sure what others they do, but if you've got one specific to your panzer, it may well be all MKs.

Mr Surfacer 500.  It was well gloopy as it had stood around for ages so I thinned it down to a thick soup consistency and dabbed it on with a firm bristled flat brush about 1/2 an inch wide.  Dabbing got the casting effect just as the Mr Surfacer was starting to go off.  It's all about the timing.
