112 Squadron
Though I do not consider myself to be a modeller who is into the what if genre I have to say that your profiles are excellent and very intriguing. I am really wondering now how the RAF/FAA Skyhawks would have looked liked during their deployment in the Falklands in 1982. Would there have been some kind of "invasion stripes" applied to better distinguish them from the Argentine A-4s? Would they have been in black and white or even in yellow and black just like in Suez? One might argue that reconigtion stripes on jets would have been of limited use but even the US Navy jets in Operation Eagle Claw the failed Iranian hostage rescue mission in 1980 had some stripes applied: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Eagle_Claw#/media/File:A-7Es_on_USS_Coral_Sea_Op_Eagle_Claw_April_1980.jpg Edited August 26, 2022 by 112 Squadron
OutcastJoel
I have an A4 and spent ages choosing which scheme to build it in. I got the appropriate USN decal sheet and then I saw this thread... It would have been much easier for me if you hadn't done such a lovely job 😁 There are several extra schemes I really want to do now!
