how are you attaching

 Dooh!

Didn't know I had toooo

Just a quick catch up

To get some variation in the final colour I've daubed some muck on the sides. This will be covered with a wash

P1120137

P1120136

Although very little of the chassis will be seen I the I'd give it The Works

P1120144

By the way there have been reports on here of a difference in the length  of the body work /chassis. I've had no such problem

P1120145

Wash applied and started sponging body rust

P1120147

Ditto. Note left wing came from another Citroen

P1120149

As did one of the wheels

P1120151

Deluxe materials applied to wings lower edges. Juries out

P1120152

That's it for now, thanks for looking in

Stay safe

My eyes, my eyes!  :boom:   That chassis rust looks too realistic.

If I liked rust, I'd really like your rust Kev.

the chassis is worthy of a special mention fella

I meant to say I tried a new (to me) technique on the chassis. Randomly spread thinned PVA and Micro balloons. This adds the rust texture and the balloons readily soak up the different rust/muck shades.

I had a 63 beetle with a pan just like that. Well, except for the hole where the battery used to be...

I managed to get back to the bench and give the seats some attention. To my mind they looked like limousine seats so I carved out the sides to make them look tubular. The yucky orange was used to represent the old foam padding.

P1120155

The seats were then given a covering of tissue to give a wrinkled torn look

P1120159

Hope you like them

Seats are looking very shabby just as you would expect with the state of the rest of the van.

Cracking job mate hope you are keeping Safe and Well.  👍

I'd forgotten that I saw one of these at a pub in Norfolk last week.

It had been rebuilt from a 'Dolly', so had a modern dashboard & a new chassis.

Lawnmower green, it looked great. Even the seats were green!

A quick catch up. I've done a bit more on the engine.... large gap between inside wing and bulkhead doesn't seem right . May have the bonnet partially closed

P1120179

Started work on the diorama i.e. barn. Using balsa scored with a razor saw for timbers, Initial coat of black to be worked on.

Uprights

P1120181

Roof trusses

P1120183

Needed wriggly tin for the roof so after experimenting settled on this jig

P1120184

P1120187

P1120189

P1120190

Good enough for government work I reckon. I see lots of rust colours in my future............

Hope you like it
