My contri to this, a Finnish Hawk 51 in the original colour scheme, done with an Italeri kit, the kit was not too bad, the instructions, both assembly & colour were a bit pants & made more more work that needed. Photos now updated.

WiP here.

Hi Vikings :viking:

I managed to get one of my two entries finished in time.
Here's my rendition of a Royal Norwegian Airforce F-16 armed with two AGM-119 Penguines for anti-ship warfare.

The kit is Kinetics 1/48 F-16AM backdated to a pre MLU updated.
Decals are from an older Hasegawa F-16
I've added pitot tube and AoA probes from Masters and some leftover Quinta decals for the ejection seat.
And all is brush painted with Akan Acrylics.

Build thread can be found here:

"Raskas Stuka" JK-260 "4", 2. lentue, Pommituslentolaivue 44 (2/PLeLv 44), heinäkuu -44, Onttola (in Finnish)

"Heavy Stuka" JK-260 "4", 2. Flight of Bombardment Squadron 44, June -44, Onttola airfield, Finland (in Britmodellerish)

Werk Nummer 088 8785 was the first Junkers Ju 88 A-4 in Finnish AF to be painted in the field green/black/light blue "warpaint", in spring of -44.

It was sadly destroyed during the Lapland war, 6.10.44. Like B-24 "Lady Be Good" in North Africa, the crew flew on a radio direction away from home base.

When they finally ran out of fuel, the plane was ditched in a lake somewhere south of St. Petersburg (then) a.k.a Leningrad in The Soviet Union (now) a.k.a Russia.

Three of the crew drowned, one survived to tell their nearly unbelievable story.

Revell's excellent 1:72 Ju 88 A-4 kit nearly out-of-the box: The MG-FF in the nose comes from a Hasegawa He 111 H-6 and its magazine from an Eduard Bf 110.

IMG_20220109_163633_exported_160_1641739754109

The markings are a combination of InScale 72 and S.B.S Model decals - oh and the fuselage band comes from a Revell Ju 88 C-6 heavy fighter kit!

IMG_20220109_163659_exported_320_1641739778849

The kit was brush painted using Humbrol #116 and Revell #9 for the topside camouflage and both Revell #55 and Humbrol #65 for the lowers.

IMG_20220109_163610_exported_120_1641739728827

The sole "aftermarket" item used in the build was the essential paint mask set for all the see-through stuff, in this case provided by Eduard.

IMG_20220109_163551_exported_440_1641739695616

Last but not least, the pieces simulating the main weapons (2 * SC1000 "Hermann" 1000kg bombs) were also from the Hasegawa He 111 H-6 kit.

To be honest, it's not one of even my better builds, but on the eighth try I finally managed to Finnish a Ju 88 .

Thanks once again to @Enzo Matrix @trickyrich @reini @Col. and @Marlin for running the circus 👍. V-P

Spitfire IXe, Danish Air Force
Eduard 1/144

Next miniature. Added a few invisible details in the cockpit and decals from my spares box. Roundels are actually 1/48 Saab Draken roundels that were almost perfect in size.

Hobbyboss f-84g RDAF, heller decals, Xtracrylix and Vallejo paint, Winsor and Newton Matt varnish. Only 2 pics as captain incompetent left drilling the stand hole to the last minute and the undeside needed some touch ups that aren’t yet complete and might miss midnight edit: just made it with all 3 pics resized_a8ae593c-5476-4643-9b6d-1c927b0b
