Ragnar's Return - reference

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I'm re posting my thread from the first Nordic group build with the pictures that my youngest son Axel and I took when we visited the F11 Museum in Skavsta/Linköping in January 2020.

The F11 Wing was the main recce wing of the Swedish Airforce, and they've flown every recon aircraft we've had.

The museum is rather small, but they display an S29, S32, S35 and the front section of an SF37.

I hope the pictures will help someone in this GB too.

Hi again, :D
I just remembered that Axel and I visited the Swedish Airforce Museum in 2019

I think we photographed every single aircraft in the exhibition.
So here's a link to that album.

One of the more eerier exhibitions in the Museum is the DC-3 Elint aircraft we had that the Soviets shot down over the Baltic Sea in 1952.

After almost 50 years on the bottom of the Baltic it was found and now she lays in the museum exactly how it was found and the entire cellar floor of the museum are dedicated to this aircraft and it's crew of 8 that were lost that day in 1952.
The Soviets also forced down one of our Catalinas that was sent out to look for the lost DC-3

I'm sure going to revisit when I plan to build this

Which have been in the stash since that visit.

But I'll not be building it yet.
I'm saving most of my Swedish Airforce kit's until 2023, the year that Sweden will celebrate it 500 year anniversary

/Bosse
