Nice to see the fabled Aeroclub Jig in action as well - should have got one back in the day, but never mind.

Thanks Jinxman.  I'm only in Bridgnorth, so if you ever want to borrow it, please don't hesitate to ask :thumbsup2:

Thanks Cliff,

You are a gentleman and a scholar. 👨‍🎓

I've acquired a Vertigo acrylic jig to use on my Bulldog, however it won't be used until after the GB has ended, due to my usual tardiness.

If it doesn't work out I'll be hopping onto the SVR at Kidderminster to take you up on your offer!

cheers,

Scott

The jig is also useful for holding the model while details are added, for example these extra struts to the tail skid.

Now released from its cage, here's the Brisfit complete with struts and u/c.

Just the rigging and rear armament to add now :)

This is a great subject and you are doing a brilliant job on the old kit.

This is also the first time I have seen the 'jig' in action so to speak, and I can now see the advantage of it in all it's glory! It is so much better than using the Mk1 eyeball and a shuddering hand to align things!

All the best, Ray

Thank you for your kind comments @Ray S @Jinxman and @AdrianMF :)

I'm going to put this aside now for a few days, so that I can make some progress on my Ford Mustang build (deadline also loomimg).  Hopefully I'll come back refreshed and ready for the rigging!

Cheers

Excellent finish Cliff.  Looks good in the Polish markings.

The prop is well well done.

Thanks Greg :thumbsup2:

Well, it's finally finished!

It's been a while since I've built a 1/72 biplane, so the rigging's not as neat as it could have been - nevertheless, it looks OK in the cabinet ;)

I've particularly enjoyed this build, so thank you to all who have supported it and especially to @rob85 for hosting

What a great result @CliffB. From this side of the screen it is difficult to tell it was the old Airfix one! Superb.
