I am calling this finished.

Not up to modern standards I guess, and a later block 50 plane would have given me more scope to add on lots of goodies, but it was the only one I had, and it is better than my old Hasegawa one.

 

Thanks to Rich for the GB and to everybody else who helped with useful info.

Nice job Pete.  No shame in having that on the display shelf.  Colors look good in the natural light.  Maybe a little light on the dark color, but well within what you could expect a faded gunship grey to become.    I'm inclined to think there was more of a color issue w/ the original decals more so than the paint.  The replacements look fine to me.

I agree with the comment about the Mavericks, they do look so good on ant aircraft.

 

I'm glad you could joins us, it was great to have you alongs usual, and I hope you enjoyed the build.
