Paul J
..... but not the Airfix kit. This is the rare-ish Aeroclub kit I built some years ago. I finished it as WD346:3 of 2 AEF. I flew in this one back in 1967 from Shoreham and was my very first Chipmunk flight experience...complete with a couple aeros thrown in too! Decals were from the generic Modeldecal range but I don't recall where I got the dayglo. Note how the canopy has yellowed over the years. AND.... no drooping wings!!!!

petetasker
Very nice. I was wondering how and why you did the tint on the canopy - now I know!
ianwau
Nicely done! The tinting almost looks like it was done on purpose! Had one of these Aeroclub Chipmunks years ago - lost the vacform canopy so ended up doing a cropduster conversion!
DonH
Looks very nice! You could have easily fooled me regarding the “tinted” canopy.

Paul J
They're great images even the fuzzy one. Sends me back to the lovely days in the ATC. I note in last image 1440 squadron flashes. Thats Shoreham if I recall. AM I right? Shame serial not visible on them.

kapam
Very nice. I'd say your abilities have produced a result that is highly comparable with any new kit.
