Suggestion for a missing abbreviation

@Mike Can I suggest an addition to the forum's list of abbreviation definitions which are automatically converted into <abbr> elements? I was surprised to see that OPR (oil paint rendering) wasn't given a definition.

😕 I included the definition in my post: oil paint rendering. Bit surprised that you've never heard of it -- it's a common part of weathering.

I understood the English words, just not the meaning without some context.  Is that the technique where you dot oil paint of various colours over the surface of a model, then blend them in until they're almost invisible?  Never heard it called by any name, and never used the technique myself.

Oh, I see. But no, what you mentioned is usually called tone mapping. OPR is much more refined, targeted, and realistic. I think that Mike Rinaldi coined the term.
