It fits like a dream. The only issues I've had so far have been self-inflicted. The tolerances are tight and the slightest misalignment with the cannons gave me a little trouble with the wings. Entirely my fault. Cheers, Alistair
AliGauld
While I had the white paint out I got on with priming. Tomorrow we'll go with the ColourCoats FAA/RAF Yellow. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
Dandie Dinmont
A touch of yellow should really get this looking swish. Inspired by your excursion into late war, last gasp of the Luftwaffe, wonder weaponary, I picked up the Dragon 1/48 He 162 while visiting my LMS earlier this week. But I believe that, unlike this little gem, it’s a bit of a bear to build so I put it back down and bought the new Airfix Mosquito instead. Craig.

I did the 1/72 Mistel version of that one for my nephew a while ago and it was an absolute pig. Nice choice on the Mossie I've got one here too. Kind of tempted to get it going sometime soon. AliGauld
ColourCoats FAA/RAF Yellow works it's magic. Three light coats. Once that's dry it'll be on with the RLM76. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
AliGauld
On closer inspection I had a run/overlap around the tailwheel rear fairing so.... Rubbed down and resprayed. That will need to dry. Masking and RLM 76 postponed for a wee while. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
AliGauld
ColourCoats RLM 76 has been sprayed. One slight touch up needed. I'll take that. If I get some time before work tonight I may attempt some mottling. Not certain which colour this should be but I'm tending toward RLM 02 Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
AliGauld
Some light mottling done with ColourCoats RLM 02 That'll do as it will tone down a fair bit with clear coats and such. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair

Here’s another thought, you could build that new Airfix Mosquito you mentioned was lurking in the stash as a TT35. Yellow and black on the bottom and silver on top. Glorious! Craig.

I know where the major problems are with the Dora Lizzie now and can sort it before closing the fuselage up but I do have the Eduard rerelease of the 1/48 Gavia Lizzie which may be as difficult, but the Mossie now there's an idea. I'll need to look at that. Cheers, Alistair
AliGauld
Today I managed to get on with some masking and spraying. Then some ColourCoats RLM 81 and a wee bit of Tamiya Buff mottling. Finally some ColourCoats RLM 82 And after a short time, masking off. Of course I had some overspray that in an area I thought I'd masked but that'll be an easy fix when I'm masking up for the RAF Dark Green tomorrow. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
